1. SAPUTARA
Saputara is one of the most visited Hill Stations in Gujarat, which is located in Western Ghat. As far as the distance of Saputra from Malegaon is concerned, it is around 100 Km from Malegaon.
Saputara is visited by tons of people daily and it consists of huge numbers from Malegaon. When it comes to a one-day tour, Malegaokar’s first choice is SAPUTARA.
From Natural Points, Lakes, and Sports Activities, to Lush Green paths, Saputara has everything to grab your attention.
If you live in Malegaon and have not visited Saputara yet, you must go there with your friends or family members.
The best time to visit Saputara is between July to October. You can visit it during the Winter season but it looks mesmerizing during the Rainy season.

- Saputara Lake: It offers a stunning look and a boat ride throughout the lake. You can enjoy a boat ride for Rs 300 for 30 minutes. You can also enjoy cycling around the lake.

2. IGATPURI
Igatpuri is a town & hill station in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Igatpuri is 150 km from Malegaon & 45 km from Nashik city, it takes nearly 3 hours to reach from Malegaon.
You can also visit Igatpuri by train from Manmad Junction. Since Igatpuri has a plethora of points and Waterfalls to visit, going by personal car or vehicle is highly recommended.
Igatpuri is surrounded by the highest peaks in Western Ghats, it is heavenly for the people who love trekking. Lots of people from Malegaon visit the Igatpuri’s Bouli waterfall with their family and friends. This hill town is the perfect destination for nature lovers & spiritual seekers.

- Tringalwadi Fort : This fort is elevated at 3000 meters & constructed in 10th century
- Camel Valley : Nothing to see here but it looks heavenly in the rainy season.

3. MANGI TUNGI
Mangi Tungi is the twin peak & jain pilgrimage site, this is located near Taharabad about 60 km from Malegaon. It takes 1 hour from Malegaon to reach there.
For the nature lover, Mangi Tungi is a must-visit place. The hiking experience is different here.
Mangi is 4343 feet high from sea level at the western pinnacle & Tungi is the eastern pinnacle which is 4366 feet high from sea level. There are nearly 3600 stairs to reach at the top of the peak.
Mangi Tungi is the best place for tracking, and hacking & best place to feel the peace in the mountains. As mountains are the best therapy & take towards nature.
October to February is the best time to visit Mangi Tungi because it becomes foggy and feels like a different place from the Earth.
Notably, climbing 3600 stairs during the rainy season is not a cup of tea. It is pretty risky so make sure to do it at your own risk.
4. SALHER FORT
Salher is a place located near Salher village near Satana town in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. Salher is fort which is nearly 60 km from Malegaon.
You can get there in 1 hour from Malegaon via Car or Two-wheeler. For the unversed, Salher is the second-tallest fort in the Sahyadri mountains after the Kalsubai.
The height of Salher Fort is about 1,567 meters (5141 feet). Salher was the fort of the Maratha empire. It was captured by Maratha king Shivaji Maharaj in 1671 during his Baglan campaign.
Reaching the top of the fort is very difficult & it takes approximately 3 hours to reach the top of the fort from the Salher Wadi route. If you love trekking, you will enjoy reaching the top of this Fort for sure.
Once you reach the top of this fort, you will find caves, water tanks & beautiful views the mountain offers. Besides these things, you will have a stunning view of Salotra fort.
The best season to visit this place is winter (November to February).
5. KALSUBAI PEAK
If you love adventure & want to experience the beauty of nature at the highest point from sea level then Kalsubai Peak is a must-visit place near Malegaon.
Kalsubai is the highest peak in Maharashtra & it is located in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Kalsubai is approximately 165 km from Malegaon & takes 3 and a half hours from Malegaon to reach.
Kalsubai Peak is reported to take its name from a koli girl named “Kalsu”.
The height of the Kalsubai is 1646 meters (5400 feet) which is the highest point in Maharashtra. And that’s the reason why it is called ‘’EVEREST OF MAHARASHTRA”.
The best time to visit Kalsubai is Rainy season. Unlike Igatpuri and Saputara, you can pay a visit to Kalsubai Peak throughout the year.
